General
I am a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for
Nutrition and aim to use my scientific knowledge and expertise in an accurate
and professional manner.
I adhere to the AfN
Standards of Ethics, Conduct and Performance and AfN
Standards for Freelance and Independent Practice.
A product mention or feature does not imply endorsement or
recommendation of the product in question. I will not make or support
unjustifiable statements relating to products or services, or promote one
product over another. Any potential financial rewards will not play a part in
the advice or recommendations of products or services offered.
All the opinions on this website and my social media are
entirely my own and 100% honest. You have the right to know if I have accepted
money or gifts (free samples) in the process of formulating those reviews, as
per the Competition
and Markets Authority guidance.
The information and advice provided on this website is of a
general nature for the adult population only and should never replace individual
health or medical advice provided by your healthcare professional team. It is
not intended to be used to diagnose any medical condition or nutrient
deficiency.
The information included in my blogs and my social media is
always based on the latest scientific research at the time, which can change as
research is updated. Whilst I endeavour to update the information in line with
changing guideline, please be aware that older posts may be based on out-dated
information.
Sponsored blog posts
and product reviews
Any sponsorship or other forms of compensation are clearly
marked and will not influence the content, topic or posts on this site. My
content will always be guided by my own expertise, experience and scientific
research.
If the end of a blog post is marked as “sponsored” or “AD”,
a company has compensated me either via money, a gift, or something else of
value for the time taken to write it.
Regardless of this, any comments I have made are not influenced by the
incentive.
Any product reviews or posts are based on my own honest
opinion, even if sponsored. I decline
sponsorship from companies that I do not believe will enhance the wellbeing of
my audience – e.g. has claims based on pseudoscience.
I adhere to the Internet
Advertising Bureau (IAB) UK and Advertising
Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines for sponsorship and
advertising, which states that is must be made clear when an individual has
been paid for a promotional post or product review (i.e. by including #AD in
posts).
Affiliate links and
codes
My blog content remain free to all because of the addition
of affiliate links/codes. My time and expertise to write each blog post, and to
develop and test recipes can be considerable and cost me money. If you click certain hyperlinks and purchase
items or use my discount code, in some cases I may receive a small commission.
Affiliate links do not affect the price that you pay.
If I link to an online shop, its not that I endorse the
advice they may give or their philosophy, it is merely a place where I either
obtained the product in question, or that you can purchase it.
All blog posts containing affiliate links/codes are clearly
labelled at the end.
